Lowcountry Physical Therapy Associates is the only MedX Center in South Carolina using the MedX Lumbar, Cervical and Knee Machines. This equipment allows functional capacity testing based on objective measurements and comparisons to actual norms, not just subjective pain ratings.
As rehabilitation specialists we have experienced outstanding results using the MedX Lumbar and Cervical Machines. Medical evidence shows that the majority of patients with chronic spinal pain are significantly deconditioned. Weakness of the musculature of the spine can lead to many conditions such as herniated discs, facet syndrome, and degenerative joint disease. Using the MedX Program our Physical Therapists will assist you with strengthening spinal musculature, increasing range of motion, achieving good posture, and improving body mechanics. Our program can help patients avoid surgery and help post surgical patients reach their full potential for recovery.
